Overview

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr HRBP) acts as a strategic advisor to various business units, offering expert guidance on HR-related areas such as employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, and compliance with labor laws and internal policies. This role partners closely with HR and business leaders to influence and implement HR strategies that enhance people management, organizational structure, and culture to drive business success and maintain a positive working environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide strategic HR consulting, maintaining an in-depth understanding of organizational needs and future objectives to inform business decisions regarding culture, retention, and development while minimizing risks.
Influence leadership discussions by offering insightful recommendations and challenge assumptions to align people strategies with business goals.
Analyze data such as employee turnover and satisfaction to create effective solutions and address workforce challenges.
Independently resolve complex, ambiguous people-related issues using HR expertise and organizational insights.
Advocate for business unit HR needs within the HR function while supporting enterprise-wide HR strategies.
Lead workforce planning including succession and development plans, organizational design, and structural changes with sound judgment and communication.
Serve as a primary advisor on staffing and compensation, developing recommendations for pay consistent with company policies and business considerations.
Guide performance management processes, including coaching leaders on employee development, disciplinary actions, and facilitating employee relations with thorough investigations where necessary.
Manage HR administrative tasks such as policy interpretation, data management, reporting, and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
Mentor junior HR partners and engage in cross-functional HR projects to advance enterprise HR initiatives.

Experience and Educational Qualifications

Over 8 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years as an HR Business Partner supporting senior leadership independently.
Minimum 2 years providing strategic HR input and innovative solutions to complex operational challenges.
Bachelor's degree in Arts or Sciences preferred, especially in Human Resources Management.

Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)

Skills and Abilities

Advanced knowledge of HR domains including compensation, benefits, workforce planning, talent development, and performance management.
Strong understanding and application of employment laws in complex situations.
Ability to exercise independent and sound judgment in ambiguous matters while maintaining confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal, consultative, analytical, and communication skills capable of advising at the executive level.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems; experience with Workday is a plus.
Organized, detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Additional Information

Work involves frequent sitting, communication, observation, and repetitive motions.
Requires about 20% domestic travel by driving.
Remote work is supported across a wide range of U.S. states including Alabama, California, New York, Texas, and Washington among others.

Compensation

The salary ranges from $108,900 to $166,125 annually, determined based on education, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data alignment.
