Role overview
Leipzig/Halle Airport is looking for a Senior HR Manager (m/w/d) to shape HR governance and labour relations in a permanent full-time position based in Leipzig/Halle. The airport serves more than three million passengers annually and handles around 1.4 million tonnes of cargo each year, making it one of Europe’s major air freight hubs. Together with Dresden Airport, the organisation employs more than 1,100 people directly, while over 17,200 people work across 220+ resident companies in Leipzig, Halle and Dresden.
Key responsibilities
- Translate the HR strategy into practice by designing and rolling out group-wide processes, policies and governance structures.
- Ensure consistent HR standards and compliance with agreed governance requirements across the organisation.
- Implement collective labour, tariff and co-determination requirements in a legally compliant manner.
- Advise management, HR teams and leaders on core policy and governance topics.
- Align, standardise and continuously improve HR rules, frameworks and policies.
- Assess, enhance and digitise HR processes, while steering transformation initiatives.
- Develop compensation, control and governance models further.
- Maintain quality and continuously optimise the HR process and systems landscape.
Candidate profile
- Completed university degree in law with a focus on labour law.
- Alternatively, a degree in business administration with a focus on HR management plus specialisation in collective bargaining law, co-determination or HR governance.
- Several years of experience in a strategic HR role within a unionised company or corporate environment.
- Strong command of collective labour law, tariff law and works constitution law, including experience negotiating and implementing related agreements.
- Proven background in building and applying governance, policy and process structures in complex organisations.
- Hands-on experience in HR process management as well as change, transformation and digitisation projects.
- Excellent communication, advisory and negotiation skills when working with management, leaders and employee representatives.
