Job Overview
Serving at Honeywell Technologies in Bangalore, this role reports to the Director HR Advisory (APAC). The Senior HR Generalist plays a critical role in supporting managers and driving HR system adoption, while acting as the primary HR advisor for various employee relations and performance management activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitate and promote the use of HR platforms such as HCM and HR Direct, encouraging manager self-service tools.
- Provide expert HR advisory services to managers on topics including employee relations, policy guidance, performance oversight, and workforce strategy.
- Coach managers to build their capabilities in team leadership, performance discussions, employee engagement, and developmental planning.
- Support and advise on performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to streamline recruitment, manage position validation, coordinate offers, and handle escalations.
- Analyze HR metrics to detect trends and potential risks, proposing actionable improvements to business leaders.
- Act as an escalation point for complex HR concerns, working closely with HR Services and Centers of Excellence for prompt issue resolution.
- Manage employee relations cases and investigations ensuring fairness and compliance.
- Coordinate with regional HR and CoE teams to execute key HR initiatives and maintain consistency across the organization.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts targeting simplified HR processes, enhanced user experience, and increased operational efficiency.
Performance Indicators
- Adoption levels of manager self-service platforms.
- Completion rates for performance management cycles (e.g. HPD, PDS).
- Decrease in escalations due to improved managerial competency.
- Timely and effective resolution of employee relations matters within delegated authority.
- Improved hiring timelines through support and escalation management.
- Positive stakeholder feedback and satisfaction from managers.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar disciplines.
- At least 5 years' experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist supporting diverse functions and teams.
- Background working in a matrix organizational structure collaborating with HR Shared Services, CoEs, Talent Acquisition, and leadership.
- Solid understanding of Indian labor laws and HR standard practices.
- Experience in a regional or multi-country HR environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with HR information systems and analytics tools.
- Preferred experience partnering with leaders and managers across Commercial, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, and other sectors.
