Overview
This is a senior-level, hands-on HR position for a fast-growing technology business working in AI infrastructure. The role is based in the United Arab Emirates and sits at the heart of people operations, combining day-to-day execution with process design and improvement. You will oversee the employee lifecycle end to end, support compliance across jurisdictions, and help build scalable HR practices in a high-growth environment. The role requires close coordination with leadership, Legal, Finance, and the broader People function to keep operations running smoothly and to strengthen the employee experience.
Key responsibilities
- Run HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, covering onboarding, offboarding, internal moves, and leave administration within a PEO setup.
- Strengthen and maintain compliance workflows, including registrations, policy revisions, required training, and readiness for audits.
- Administer employee benefits and serve as the primary contact for brokers and outside HR/PEO partners.
- Contribute to total rewards work such as preparing offer letters, supporting pay benchmarking, and partnering with Finance and Legal.
- Address employee relations matters involving performance, accommodations, disputes, and exits with sound judgment and confidentiality.
- Work with legal counsel on sensitive cases and ensure documentation is complete and risks are managed appropriately.
- Assist with performance management cycles, manager support, and people initiatives such as engagement surveys and onboarding improvements.
- Maintain accurate HR data and reporting, and protect HRIS quality for metrics including headcount and attrition.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in HR Generalist or HR Operations roles, preferably in startup or rapidly scaling tech settings.
- Background in a PEO or multi-state employment structure, with exposure to systems such as Justworks, Rippling, or similar tools.
- Solid knowledge of employment law and HR compliance practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations issues with professionalism and emotional intelligence.
- Strong written communication skills and a careful approach to documentation and detail.
- Comfort working across Legal, Finance, Operations, and leadership stakeholders.
- Strong discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
- Helpful extras include HR automation experience, HRIS optimization, AI-enabled HR workflows, and credentials such as PHR or SHRM-CP.
