As we continue to expand our iconic brand, we welcome enthusiastic professionals to join our journey. The Senior HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) plays a critical strategic role supporting a market of approximately 50-60 restaurants and a workforce near 1,500 employees. This position collaborates closely with the Director of Area Operations (DAO) and their District Manager team to align Human Resources initiatives with business needs, boosting performance and fostering employee engagement across company-operated restaurants.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to the DAO and District Managers, analyzing operational metrics to tailor HR strategies that support the organization's objectives.
- Design and implement comprehensive staffing plans to attract and retain talent, ensuring alignment with business goals and maintaining optimal workforce levels.
- Lead talent development and succession planning activities, identifying future leadership potential and collaborating on growth strategies for key employees.
- Promote positive employee relations aligned with company values, managing investigations and consultation to resolve workplace concerns and support compliance with employment laws and policies.
- Manage HR operations including the rollout of programs such as employee engagement, compensation and benefits initiatives, leadership development, and regular human capital reporting tailored to market needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED is required; B.S. or B.A. in Business, Human Resources, or related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources with deep familiarity in recruitment, succession planning, employee relations, and EEO compliance.
- Strong understanding of State, Provincial, and Federal labor laws, leave administration, and workers' compensation requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills, with ability to handle confidential matters and conduct thorough investigations.
- Ability to work independently across multiple locations using various hardware and software tools.
- Preferred: Experience conducting classroom training and talent development, especially in multi-location environments. Professional certification such as PHR is advantageous.
Work Environment and Location
The role is expected to be primarily based at Wendy's restaurant locations or related field sites, with the option to work remotely when not on-site, subject to managerial approval and business needs. The position requires approximately 50% travel.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is between $81,000 and $138,000. The final pay will reflect consideration of internal equity and candidate qualifications. Additionally, there is a target annual bonus of 10% based on company and personal performance. Wendy's offers comprehensive benefits including parental leave, employee assistance programs, 401(k) matching, and more. Benefit terms and eligibility are outlined in governing policies subject to company discretion and legal compliance.
