Overview
Qatar Airways is seeking to fill the position of Senior HR Business Partner based in Doha, Qatar. This role supports a sizable business unit or cluster by acting as a strategic HR consultant and trusted advisor to senior management, shaping people strategies aligned with commercial objectives. The position involves fostering business growth, cultivating a high-performance workplace culture, and ensuring adherence to Group HR policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leaders to design and implement people strategies that align with divisional business objectives and corporate HR frameworks, leveraging workforce data to enhance performance.
- Plan and oversee execution of division-wide HR initiatives encompassing talent management, performance evaluation, employee engagement, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- Lead efforts in organizational design, change management, and development to position the business for future success aligned with strategic goals.
- Partner with HR Centres of Excellence to deploy solutions in talent recruitment, learning, performance management, rewards, engagement, and workforce planning.
- Promote a high-achievement culture through leadership enhancement, succession planning, talent nurturing, performance and recognition programs.
- Advise leaders on employee relations, ensuring policy compliance, risk mitigation, and fostering positive workplace environments.
- Manage strategic HR projects including policy updates, transformative initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts, influencing stakeholders towards innovative and efficient practices.
- Establish strong connections across the organization to deeply understand commercial needs, workforce challenges, and change drivers, providing proactive HR support.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by departmental leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least eight years of substantial HR experience, particularly in HR Business Partner roles within complex settings.
- Proven capability in crafting and executing people strategies with proficiency in performance management, organizational design, employee engagement, employee relations, and change management including process mapping.
- Knowledge of local and regional labor laws and legal frameworks.
- Expertise in HR best practices and employment legislation, effectively balancing organizational goals with risk management.
- Skilled in decision support through business case preparation, process enhancements, workforce planning, and leading change projects.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD or an equivalent qualification) is advantageous.
