Overview

An exceptional opportunity exists for a seasoned Senior Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join a prominent data centre construction project located in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main Metropolitan Area. This senior site-based role involves leading the HSE functions to ensure outstanding compliance and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all health, safety, and environmental activities across the construction project site.
  • Devise, execute, and sustain comprehensive project HSE plans, procedures, and management systems.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable legislation, client specifications, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments; ensure prompt implementation of corrective measures.
  • Manage incident investigations and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and relevant HSE training sessions.
  • Drive and nurture a proactive safety culture across all organizational levels.
  • Collaborate closely with project management, subcontractors, and stakeholders to meet HSE goals.
  • Prepare periodic HSE performance reports and track key safety indicators.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience working as an HSE Officer on large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience with data centres, mission-critical facilities, industrial, or major infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction health and safety legislation and management systems.
  • HSE certifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6, IOSH, or equivalents are required.
  • Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and effective stakeholder management.
  • Capability to influence teams and cultivate a robust safety-first mindset.
  • Must possess a valid EU passport to be eligible for this role.
