About the Role
Join Parsons Corporation as a Senior HSE Manager within our Logistics division, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role offers the chance to lead health, safety, security, and environment initiatives throughout large-scale construction projects, interacting with multiple stakeholders to maintain a safe and compliant workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the strategic planning and initial establishment of on-site HSSE protocols, ensuring integration with broader engineering and logistics plans for cohesive city-wide safety management.
- Create and enforce standardized operating procedures for HSSE across the program, guaranteeing uniform safety practices among all teams and contractors.
- Collaborate with partnering organizations including Jacobs, Mace, QIC, existing contractors, and upcoming major contractors to maintain consistent safety standards.
- Design and execute HSSE strategies based on approved plans to uphold safety requirements and regulations.
- Lead the application of innovative HSSE principles, advancing compliance and consistency across all delivery teams.
- Address complex HSSE challenges creatively in cooperation with site and engineering leadership.
- Facilitate engagement with key stakeholders and organizations affected by the program to foster partnership and alignment on safety objectives.
- Manage employee assignments, track task completions, conduct personnel interviews, and select staff for specific roles as necessary.
- Provide training, development, clear work standards, and conduct performance evaluations including counseling and corrective action where needed.
- Prepare detailed reports to document HSSE activities and compliance efforts.
- Ensure full adherence to corporate, contractual, ethical, and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities relevant to the position as required.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Brings at least 15 years of experience in construction projects, with a focus on health, safety, security, and environmental management.
- Experience working in Saudi Arabia is considered advantageous.
- OSHA certification is a beneficial credential.
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English communication.
- Exemplary teamwork and management skills are essential.
- Experience operating in complex construction environments, able to deliver clear instructions amidst diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization with dual reporting lines and interact confidently with senior management.
- Skilled in consulting, motivating, negotiating with clients, co-workers, employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Capable of managing time pressures, prioritizing workload, and meeting deadlines consistently.
- Strong experience in contractor management.
