Stride Mental Health is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to shape engaging creative across print, digital, and environmental channels. In this position, you will support multiple brand streams, work alongside Marketing, Fundraising, Partnerships, and other internal stakeholders, and help ensure every asset reflects a consistent, high-quality brand presence.

Role purpose

This is a senior, hands-on design position. You will both produce creative work directly and provide design direction and guidance to colleagues across the organisation. The role also involves acting as a brand guardian for Stride and its managed service brands, ensuring all output is aligned, polished, and effective for varied audiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Protect and maintain brand identity across several brands on print and digital channels, including websites, intranet platforms, and social media.
  • Plan, develop, and deliver high-quality visual communications.
  • Update and refine brand guidelines for Stride and associated managed service brands.
  • Partner with service and engagement teams to design presentations, infographics, flyers, newsletters, annual reports, conference materials, digital assets, EDMs, and signage.
  • Contribute to tender submissions and business development collateral.
  • Guide creative work for digital channels, including website content, social media, and broader content improvements.
  • Build and maintain templates and design systems in Canva or similar tools.
  • Deliver responsive customer service and build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and marketing partners.
  • Work with external agencies and provide feedback to keep outputs consistent with brand standards.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in graphic design, visual communications, or marketing design, supported by a strong portfolio.
  • Proven ability to create effective creative work for print, digital, social media, built environments, and websites.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
  • Experience managing brand identity within complex or multi-brand organisations.
  • Capability to develop digital content such as social media assets, web graphics, and EDMs using WordPress and Mailchimp.
  • Strong concept development and visual storytelling ability, with the skill to simplify complex information.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong judgment around layout, typography, and overall design quality.
  • Well organised with the ability to juggle several projects and deadlines at once.
  • Confident stakeholder engagement and strong collaboration skills across teams.
  • Must be eligible to apply for, or already hold, a Blue Card.
  • Must hold, or be willing to apply for, NDIS worker screening clearance.
  • Experience in health, community services, government, or not-for-profit environments is desirable.
  • Understanding of UX design principles is desirable.
  • Motion graphics or video editing experience is desirable.
  • Experience managing creative agencies or external suppliers is desirable.
  • Knowledge of AI and interest in applying it responsibly in design is desirable.
