Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Senior General / Operations Manager to deliver strategic oversight and operational leadership supporting a Federal Government client. This role involves steering complex programs, managing diverse teams, executing operational plans, and ensuring program goals are met with excellence and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead definition of program goals, scope, and performance criteria.
- Oversee day-to-day program activities ensuring contract requirements are fulfilled.
- Manage projects to comply with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Execute operational directives and align with strategic priorities.
- Perform detailed requirements and cost-benefit analyses to guide decisions.
- Advise government stakeholders with strategic insights and recommendations.
- Help clients meet program objectives through effective planning and execution.
- Coordinate efforts across multiple projects and teams to meet overarching program goals.
- Ensure all deliverables are accurate, timely, and of high quality.
- Identify and mitigate risks to minimize program disruptions.
- Address operational challenges promptly while prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present program status reports and briefings to senior leadership including USCG Aviation Logistics Center and other government entities.
- Mentor and provide leadership to junior analysts and consultants.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and ongoing process enhancement.
- Support transformation initiatives and adopt program management best practices and tools.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must be eligible for and maintain an Agency-Specific Public Trust.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
- At least ten years of relevant professional experience including:
- Program and project management
- Talent acquisition processes
- Meeting facilitation skills
- Implementation of program management tools
- Organizational change initiatives
- A minimum of five years supporting Federal Government agencies.
- Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams and multitasking with multiple projects.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and resolution capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience briefing senior government leaders.
- Proven capacity to foster strong client relationships and deliver superior results.
Certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
Compensation and Terms
The expected yearly salary ranges from $110,846 to $135,798. This figure is an estimate and final pay will depend on qualifications, experience, location, internal equity, market standards, and contractual requirements. This role is contingent on contract award.
