Senior Fit Out Estimator

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Fit Out Estimator responsible for preparing precise cost estimates for interior fit-out projects across commercial, residential, retail, and hospitality sectors. This role involves analyzing project specifications, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting the tendering processes to ensure competitive pricing and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documentation for interior fit-out projects.
• Deliver accurate cost estimations to enhance company profitability and market competitiveness.
• Conduct site visits to review client requirements against project specifications, updating plans accordingly.
• Organize bids and quotation documents to present competitive pricing while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare comprehensive cost reports outlining all project expenses.
• Maintain and update cost-related data in the company database.
• Monitor current market prices for materials, labor, and subcontractor services associated with interior fit-outs.
• Report discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
• Create post-award project budgets and provide cost breakdowns after tender submission.
• Participate in training sessions and seminars to continuously enhance expertise.

Additional Duties

• Ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of procedures aligning with ISO 9001 standards.
• Proactively communicate any challenges related to costing, estimation, or project management to the relevant management.
• Carry out other tasks related to the position as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• A graduate degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in fit-out estimation and project planning.
• Desirable certifications include Cost Estimation credentials, RICS, or PMP.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficient knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost control, and value engineering methods.
• Understanding of tender submission processes, pricing negotiations, and contract analysis.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and customer standards effectively.
• Detail-focused with excellent analytical and mathematical accuracy.
• Capable of preparing detailed costing reports, such as Bill of Manufacturing.
• Outstanding negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to perform under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
• Languages: English, Hindi, and Arabic proficiency preferred.
