Overview

We seek a seasoned Senior Financial Controller to oversee financial governance, reporting, compliance, and business finance activities for expansive operations. The role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in reputed large conglomerates specializing in sectors such as Infrastructure, EPC, Manufacturing, Energy, Ports, Logistics, Metals & Mining, Real Estate, or similarly diversified business domains. A deep understanding of project-driven and asset-heavy enterprises is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Additional credentials like CFA or CMA will be advantageous.
  • 12 to 18 years of experience post qualification.
  • Proven track record in financial leadership roles within large conglomerates or sectors including EPC, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Energy, Ports, Logistics, Metals & Mining, or Real Estate.
  • Strong background in financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, treasury management, controllership, and compliance adherence.
  • Experience handling multi-location operations, large-scale projects, or asset-intensive businesses.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable financial standards such as Ind AS, IFRS, along with Companies Act, taxation, and auditing procedures.
  • Advanced capabilities in SAP/ERP platforms, financial modeling, and management information systems reporting.
  • Effective senior stakeholder management and business outcome influence skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and monitoring of monthly dashboards focusing on financial book hygiene.
  • Oversight and review of financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordination with site teams to align financial processes.
  • Management and adherence to annual audit schedules.
  • Preparation and presentation for Board and Audit Committee meetings.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance related to related party transactions.
  • Lead full transition processes for newly acquired entities and business processes.
  • Provide technical advisory support to Financial Controllers (FCs) and Chief Financial Officers (CFOs).
  • Conduct financial due diligence focusing on financial analysis of potential acquisition targets.
  • Ensure internal control processes are followed and consistently aligned.
  • Validation and compliance checks such as XBRL submissions and DPT-3 filings.
  • Coordinate with business units for issue resolution, cash flow planning, budgeting, MIS reporting, and training delivery.
  • Recommend and implement best practices to uphold project timelines, governance, compliance, and financial health of the company.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to enhance overall project performance.
  • Ensure validation of group financial guidelines and policies.
  • Manage and coordinate activities related to annual report compilation and submission.
  • Oversee omnibus approvals and maintenance of limits for related party transactions.
  • Regularly monitor CAPEX expenditure and review capitalizations timely.

Additional Information

Preference is given to candidates previously working as Financial Controllers in large conglomerates, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, EPC, ports, logistics, real estate, metals, mining, or diversified business groups.
