Role Overview
The Financial Controller role based in Albania involves managing accounting and tax functions ensuring alignment with group accounting standards, statutory reporting, and fiscal compliance. This position supports financial integrity through audit collaboration and close coordination with international finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accuracy of accounting records adhering to statutory and group reporting standards.
- Coordinate with shared services teams in India and Budapest to guarantee data accuracy, timely submissions, and compliance with Financial Operations KPIs.
- Prepare financial statements and assist with targeted tax filings.
- Foster and maintain relationships with internal/external auditors and tax authorities.
- Address complex accounting challenges and escalate as necessary.
- Oversee Financial Operations reporting certifications and conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Substantial accounting expertise with deep technical proficiency and knowledge of financial reporting.
- Experience using SAP ECC and BW systems alongside proficient Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities and sound judgment in decision-making.
- Previous employment of approximately 4-5 years in comparable finance roles.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Possession of a chartered accountant designation or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
