Role overview
Hanger, Inc. is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Products & Services portfolio, which includes seven businesses. The position reports to the Director of Finance for Products & Services and works closely with senior leadership as a strategic finance partner.
The role is responsible for key finance activities such as budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, management reporting, and compliance. It requires turning operational performance into clear financial insight so leaders can make informed decisions on investments and business direction.
This opportunity is suited to someone who thrives in a large, growing healthcare organization valued at approximately $1.6B and who can communicate clearly, confidently, and persuasively in a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the Director of Finance on annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, strategic planning, and variance analysis.
- Convert operating performance into accurate financial outcomes that are easy for business partners and senior leaders to understand.
- Track financial performance and evaluate how results affect future forecasts.
- Own the finance calendar and keep important milestones on schedule.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports that highlight trends, drivers, and performance shifts.
- Build financial models for profitability, pricing, margins, proposal evaluation, variance waterfalls, ROI, IRR, NPV, and capital investment decisions.
- Create and present formal materials for leadership, including Monthly Business Reviews and Budget Reviews.
- Partner across Sales, IT, Marketing, Accounting, Corporate Finance, and segment leadership teams.
- Identify ways to improve revenue growth, margin performance, and cost efficiency.
- Assist with special projects and scenario-based financial analysis.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- At least 2–4+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience, ideally in a large corporate setting.
- Advanced Excel expertise, including work with complex models and large data sets.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise ERP platforms such as Oracle, Epicor, Essbase, or similar systems.
- Prior exposure to budgeting, forecasting, planning, and executive-level presentations.
- Experience contributing to process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple levels of the organization.
