Senior Financial Accountant (PLC)

About the Role

An established PLC based in Dublin seeks a Senior Financial Accountant to enhance their expanding finance team. This position offers significant involvement in financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and managing personnel within a well-organized, supportive, and high-level professional atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small team of partially and newly qualified accountants.
• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Conduct comprehensive profit & loss and balance sheet analyses with supporting documentation.
• Manage reconciliations and financial reporting for multiple entities across different currencies.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and audit procedures effectively.
• Contribute to process enhancements and take part in finance-related projects.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant holding ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certification with over two years of post-qualification experience.
• Preferably trained in a Big 4 accounting firm, bringing robust technical accounting expertise.
• Experience in multinational corporate settings.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and/or SOX compliance is beneficial.
• Proficient in Excel; familiarity with SAP systems is advantageous.
