Position Overview

The Senior Executive Vice President of Operational Excellence (SEVP) is among the top leadership roles, entrusted with optimizing operations and boosting organizational efficiency. This executive leads the creation and execution of strategies for operational excellence, initiating system enhancements, fostering a culture devoted to continuous improvement, and steering efforts to elevate efficiency, reduce costs, and secure lasting competitive benefits via process refinement, lean methodologies, digital operations, and building organizational capabilities.

Reporting typically to the CEO, COO, or Board of Directors, the SEVP directs company-wide initiatives to improve operations, drives transformative change across various functions, and ensures smooth, reliable, and scalable business processes as the company grows.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for operational excellence aligned with long-term company goals.
• Set annual improvement objectives, establish operational efficiency roadmaps, and translate corporate strategy into actionable optimization plans.
• Design and enforce a robust enterprise operational management framework, fostering Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement cultures.
• Enhance organizational efficiency via end-to-end business process optimization and standardization of operational practices.
• Identify and exploit opportunities for operational efficiency gains and cost reductions to boost profitability and performance.
• Lead process and operational transformation initiatives to remove bottlenecks, integrate cross-departmental workflows, and raise responsiveness and execution quality.
• Champion digital operations advancement by implementing data-driven management systems, optimizing ERP and analytics platforms, and embracing automation, AI, and data analytics.
• Establish operational KPIs and performance tracking systems, monitor key metrics, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives through reporting dashboards.
• Coordinate collaboration between operations, supply chain, manufacturing, product development, R&D, sales, and finance to implement enterprise-wide improvements.
• Manage organizational change, mitigate risks, and manage resistance while establishing effective cooperative mechanisms.
• Build and nurture a strong operations management team skilled in lean methodologies, process expertise, and continuous improvement practices.
• Promote a culture of ongoing learning and operational maturity development across the enterprise.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
• Advanced degrees like MBA, EMBA, or Master's in Operations Management are preferred.
• Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or PMP are advantageous.
• Over 20 years of experience in enterprise operations management, process optimization, or business transformation.
• At least 8 years in senior operations leadership roles like SVP of Operations, VP of Operational Excellence, or Transformation Executive.
• Proven track record optimizing operations in large corporations, multinational companies, or complex organizations.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide continuous improvement, digital transformation, or organizational change programs.
