Role Overview
We seek a skilled Senior Executive for Purchase & Stores to manage procurement and inventory functions at our Aerospace MRO center. This role demands end-to-end handling of purchasing, inventory management, SAP transactions, vendor engagement, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support aircraft maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of aircraft spares, tools, consumables, and related services per operations needs.
- Issue Requests for Quotations, collect bids, prepare comparative analyses, and assist in vendor selection.
- Generate and administer Purchase Orders using SAP MM module.
- Monitor procurement progress and coordinate prompt delivery with suppliers.
- Liaise with Finance for invoice clearance and vendor payments.
- Oversee receipt, inspection, proper storage, tagging, and issuance of aircraft components and consumables.
- Execute SAP MM transactions including Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Goods Issues (GI), stock transfers, and inventory adjustments.
- Carry out cycle counts and physical stock verifications to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Ensure traceability of materials and monitor shelf life of controlled items and bonded stores.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Planning, Quality, and Finance teams to ensure seamless material supply.
- Maintain procurement and inventory records compliant with aviation quality standards.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
- Generate management information system (MIS) reports using SAP tools and Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma holders in Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical, Production, Automobile or related fields with 10–12 years of experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent with 6–8 years of relevant experience.
- Previous exposure to Purchase and/or Stores operations.
- Background in Aviation, Aerospace, Defence, or MRO sectors is advantageous.
- Proficiency in SAP MM module is essential.
- Familiarity with aircraft spares, inventory management, and warehouse procedures is preferred.
