Job Summary
The Senior Executive - Purchase based in Pune is tasked with procuring goods and services essential to the organization's operations. The role demands sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, purchasing, and ensuring quality and timely delivery, while managing vendor relationships and cost controls.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess potential suppliers and vendors.
- Solicit quotations, conduct price comparisons, and negotiate deals.
- Generate and manage purchase orders accurately.
- Ensure materials are delivered promptly to meet operational needs.
- Maintain precise and comprehensive procurement records.
- Build and nurture strong partnerships with suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define purchasing requirements.
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and product availability.
- Address delivery, quality, and supplier performance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to company procurement policies and procedures.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related discipline.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles (experience range may vary).
- Well-versed in procurement methodologies and vendor relations.
- Proficient in MS Office with strong Excel skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
