Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit various GST returns in compliance with reconciliations between accounting books and the GST portal.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of Input Tax Credit (ITC) eligibility as per GST regulations.
- Manage Input Service Distribution (ISD) and its allocation effectively.
- Handle GST obligations related to the reverse charge mechanism.
- Calculate GST liabilities accurately and process payments accordingly.
- Manage GST refunds, including those connected to exports and inverted duty structures.
- Reconcile ITC/payable balances with the company's books to ensure accuracy.
- Carry out procedures for obtaining new GST registrations when required.
- Oversee GST litigation processes, including drafting written responses to notices and managing related documentation.
- Conduct GST audits internally and in coordination with government departments.
- Prepare and file annual GST returns such as GSTR 9 and GSTR 9C.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills in English, particularly for drafting correspondence with tax authorities.
- Utilize SAP software expertise as an essential tool for job functions.
- Travel: Occasional travel as necessary based on job requirements.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Minimum qualification: Master of Commerce (M.Com) degree.
- Professional experience of 5 to 6 years working in the indirect taxation domain.
