Job description
Role overview
This position supports the Specialist – Health and Safety in carrying out Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) plans and initiatives for Dubai Healthcare City’s developed assets and infrastructure. The main objective is to strengthen operational safety across these assets and contribute to the organization’s ambition of becoming a leading global healthcare destination.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the rollout and ongoing enhancement of HSE programs across Dubai Healthcare City.
- Help perform risk reviews, incident investigations, and related assessments to reduce operational HSE exposure.
- Support internal audits, inspections, and compliance checks aligned with ISO, OSHA, and Dubai Government requirements.
- Examine existing HSE procedures, tools, and work practices and recommend improvements that improve safety and efficiency.
- Assist with emergency readiness and disaster response planning, including evacuation exercises coordinated with external agencies.
- Build HSE awareness through training sessions, coaching, and safety campaigns for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Offer HSE advice, technical input, and consultation to internal teams and business partners.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and vendors to confirm adherence to HSE standards and operating procedures.
- Keep HSE records updated, manage incident reporting workflows, and prepare periodic performance summaries and recommendations.
- Support Permit to Work activities, IMS certification tasks, policy revisions, and tracking of changes in HSE laws and industry practices.
Qualifications and experience
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Environment Management, or a closely related field is required. The role calls for at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
