Role Overview

The selected candidate will handle routine accounting and payment operations, including bill processing, purchase order creation, payment release, bank reconciliation, and accounting entries related to fixed assets, payroll, prepaid expenses, and provisions. The role also involves intercompany reconciliation, balance confirmations, coordination with internal teams for invoices and payments, and support for month-end closure and MIS reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Create purchase orders and work orders in SAP, and prepare MIGO and SES entries along with expense booking.
• Verify invoices and supporting documents before processing MIRO.
• Apply the correct TDS deductions during bill processing.
• Release vendor payments according to the payment schedule, prepare checks, and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payments.
• Process employee payments by checking expense claims and advance requests, and arranging checks where needed.
• Carry out bank reconciliations.
• Record entries for prepaid expenses and expense provisions.
• Pass accounting entries for fixed assets and payroll.
• Review intercompany balances regularly and share quarterly balance confirmations.
• Scrutinize vendor and general ledger accounts on a routine basis.
• Reconcile vendor accounts against monthly statements and related transactions.
• Ensure timely settlement of vendor and employee advances.
• Maintain proper records and filing of documents.
• Support accounting and organizational objectives by completing related tasks as required.
• Maintain internal control compliance for financial reporting.
• Assist in monthly account closure and MIS preparation.

Experience Required

The role calls for a Commerce graduate with relevant professional experience of 4 to 6 years.
