Role overview
This position is for a highly motivated and energetic sales professional who can drive new customer acquisition and expand revenue within a defined territory. The focus of the role is to build and execute a territory-based sales plan that delivers strong growth and new business wins.
Candidates must be based in Singapore to support the hybrid working arrangement.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, qualify, and continuously expand a healthy sales pipeline through proactive prospecting.
- Win new business and consistently achieve or outperform monthly, quarterly, and yearly bookings goals.
- Develop trusted customer relationships that create opportunities for expansion and long-term growth.
- Take part in sales readiness programs, including Sales Bootcamp, advanced sales training, and leadership development initiatives.
- Partner closely with the Professional Services team to ensure customers are successful and satisfied.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least 8 years of quota-carrying field sales experience in a fast-moving, highly competitive environment, with emphasis on the Singapore strategic account market.
- Proven ability to communicate the commercial value of sophisticated enterprise technology.
- Strong history of exceeding targets and delivering above-plan performance.
- Experience building executive sponsors and managing complex sales cycles.
- Prior training in sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPIN, or Challenger Sales.
- Exposure to databases, developer tools, and open-source technologies is beneficial.
- Highly self-motivated, competitive, and committed to winning.
- Effective at managing time, prioritizing resources, and qualifying opportunities thoughtfully.
- Quick learner with the credibility, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness to build trust fast.
- Strong interest in growing a career in the database software market and developing deep knowledge of MongoDB products.
- Confident presenter with excellent listening skills.
- Consultative and assertive selling style.
- Strong experience working the assigned market and maintaining account relationships.
- Background working with channels and ecosystems across ASEAN.
