Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is for a senior supply chain leader to join a specialist contract development and manufacturing organization serving the cell and gene therapy space in the USA. The company works across cell therapies, viral vectors, and plasmid DNA, and is in the middle of a significant transformation as it expands its leadership team to support growth as an independent CDMO.

The position is a strategic leadership role with responsibility for supply chain operations across several US locations. The scope includes planning, procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution, with close partnership across manufacturing and commercial teams to help meet client requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Define the long-term direction of the supply chain function and lead ongoing improvements across all related activities.
  • Guide and develop departmental managers while creating a strong, performance-driven team culture that supports business objectives.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, metrics, and scorecards to track procurement, logistics, and wider supply chain performance.
  • Oversee compliance obligations across applicable regulatory environments and ensure standards are consistently met.
  • Drive cost control, workforce planning, and inventory optimization to support efficient production results.

Candidate profile

  • At least 10 years of supply chain experience, including 7 or more years in people leadership roles.
  • Experience in GMP settings and/or CDMO operations is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with supply chain software or ERP platforms.
  • Exposure to global supply chain strategy, regulatory compliance, and quality systems is important.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities are required.
  • CMRP certification would be an added advantage.
