You will serve as a senior individual contributor focused on building and growing high-value national broker and consultant relationships that support large-scale distribution growth. The role centers on owning national broker strategy, with responsibility for bringing in, activating, and strengthening partnerships with leading brokerage firms and benefits consultants. In this executive-facing position, you will turn strategic partnerships into measurable revenue tied to employer health benefit solutions. The role is highly visible and field-oriented, combining partnership development, sales strategy, and market expansion across complex distribution networks. Success in this position depends on strong industry credibility, executive presence, and frequent travel to support and expand key national relationships.
Key accountabilities
You will lead the national broker and consultant partnership agenda, acting as the main relationship owner for top national and large regional distribution partners.
- Create and implement national account plans that raise awareness, improve partner activation, and grow revenue across benefit offerings such as Level-Funded and ICHRA solutions.
- Develop and sustain senior-level relationships with key leaders at national brokerage firms and general agencies.
- Find, recruit, and launch new national broker partners to broaden distribution and increase market reach.
- Facilitate joint business planning with strategic partners, including growth objectives, activation roadmaps, and performance measurement.
- Accelerate revenue through broker-generated pipeline development and strong account conversion and expansion.
- Track partner performance, pipeline input, and revenue attribution to improve channel results.
- Shape broker incentive structures and advisory models that increase engagement and business growth.
- Represent the company at national conferences, broker events, and summits to strengthen visibility in the market.
- Lead broker education efforts, including webinars and executive-level briefings, to support product adoption and market understanding.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to support partner success throughout the relationship lifecycle.
- Bring back market intelligence and broker feedback to guide strategy and product direction.
Experience and requirements
This position calls for deep knowledge of national broker ecosystems, employee benefits distribution, and strategic channel sales. The right candidate will have strong executive presence and a demonstrated ability to convert relationships into long-term revenue growth.
- At least 8 years of experience in health insurance, employee benefits, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 5 years in national broker-facing, channel partnership, or strategic sales roles.
- Proven history of generating revenue growth through national or large regional broker relationships.
- An established network within national brokerage firms and benefits consulting organizations.
- Strong understanding of benefits distribution, broker economics, and small-to-mid market employer solutions.
- Working knowledge of Level-Funded and/or ICHRA products; familiarity with alternative funding models is an advantage.
- Excellent consultative selling skills, relationship management ability, and executive communication.
- Capacity to work independently in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial setting.
- Analytical approach with hands-on experience using CRM systems and pipeline reporting.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% for partner meetings and industry events.
Benefits and compensation
- Competitive total compensation package with on-target earnings between $300,000 and $320,000 per year.
- Equity or stock options included in the long-term incentive package.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Generous paid time off, paid holidays, and a flexible work environment.
- Up to 16 weeks of paid parental leave.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- Reimbursement support for wellness, transportation, and education expenses.
- Alternative medicine coverage plus additional lifestyle benefits.
- Paid leave for pet-related family needs.
- A mission-driven, high-impact role in a fast-growing organization shaping employer health benefits.
