This is a full-time remote leadership role based in the United States, offered through a partner company that handles applications and the next steps in the hiring process. The opportunity is with a fast-scaling, technology-led organization that is building a modern procurement function and wants a leader who can combine strategy, execution, and process innovation.

The position is centered on shaping enterprise sourcing direction, strengthening supplier partnerships, and delivering measurable business impact through savings, efficiency, and stronger controls. A major part of the mandate is to use AI-enabled tools and workflows to modernize procurement operations and expand team productivity.

This role is well suited to a seasoned procurement executive who enjoys driving transformation, partnering with senior stakeholders, and developing high-performing teams in an environment that values innovation and data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and implement a procurement strategy built around automation, scalability, continuous improvement, and an AI-first operating model.
  • Guide, coach, and develop the procurement team while encouraging accountability, collaboration, and comfort with AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Work closely with Finance, Legal, Security, and Business Operations to ensure procurement activity supports business priorities, compliance standards, and risk controls.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on sourcing choices, vendor strategy, and ways to improve procurement effectiveness.
  • Lead strategic sourcing work, including supplier evaluation, RFP management, negotiations, contract administration, and vendor performance review.
  • Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle and improve accuracy, visibility, compliance, and speed through technology and automation.
  • Set up vendor performance management structures such as KPIs, SLAs, renewal planning, and ongoing relationship oversight.
  • Identify and realize savings across software, services, and operational spend while preserving quality and reducing exposure to risk.
  • Build AI-supported workflows for contract review, spend analysis, vendor evaluation, and forecasting.
  • Assess and expand the use of emerging AI tools that reduce manual work, improve decisions, and increase team efficiency.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting that track procurement performance, savings progress, and operational metrics.
  • Drive a culture of ongoing improvement through automation, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making across the procurement function.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a similar discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, preferably in a SaaS, technology, or other high-growth setting.
  • Between 2 and 5+ years of experience leading procurement teams at the director level or above.
  • Proven track record of improving processes through AI, redesigning workflows, and delivering measurable operational gains.
  • Deep knowledge of sourcing strategy, supplier negotiation, contract lifecycle management, and vendor risk reduction.
  • Strong history of delivering cost savings while protecting quality, compliance, and long-term business value.
  • Practical exposure to AI tools, automation platforms, or agentic technologies is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with procurement systems such as CLM platforms, spend management tools, or workflow automation software.
  • Excellent executive communication, influence, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to earn trust across functions and position procurement as a strategic business partner.
  • Strong planning and organization skills with the ability to manage several priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to use data and insights to guide sourcing and procurement decisions.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package with base pay, bonus, equity, and additional benefits.
  • U.S. base salary range of $200,000 to $225,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families.
  • Life insurance plus disability coverage.
  • Mental wellness support resources.
  • Support for fertility and family-building needs.
  • Unlimited vacation, along with company-paid holidays.
  • Paid family leave, medical leave, and bereavement leave.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
  • Flexible spending account and commuter benefit programs.
  • Allowance for home office and technology setup.
  • Annual stipend for professional development.
  • Remote flexibility in a digital-first work environment.
