The company emphasizes an inclusive, mission-driven culture where teams collaborate across markets and functions to build products and processes that support growth, innovation, and belonging.
Role Overview
The Senior Director, Product Innovation Supply Chain will lead the end-to-end supply chain for new and expanding product categories, with responsibility spanning raw material sourcing, supplier relationships, production execution, and delivery to the warehouse. This leader will help operationalize product innovation by turning design and development direction into scalable, sustainable, and efficient supply chain systems.
This position is based in New York City and follows a hybrid schedule of four days per week in the office. Some domestic and international travel is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct supply chain operations across shoes, handbags, swim, jewelry, and other emerging categories from raw material sourcing through final warehouse delivery.
- Manage a team of four, including Associate Directors of Materials and Production along with their direct reports, the Production Managers.
- Shape vendor strategy for a network of 10+ factories across 5+ countries, strengthening supplier relationships and performance management.
- Expand and balance the supplier base to improve flexibility, reduce risk, and support innovation.
- Lead materials research and development, including evaluation, testing, and scaling of sustainable next-generation materials.
- Work with internal and external partners to ensure raw materials align with the company’s environmental and social responsibility standards.
- Support the company’s sustainability goals through responsible sourcing, circular design, traceable supply chains, and end-of-life take-back programs.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Design, Planning, and Merchandising teams to convert creative concepts into workable production plans.
- Protect margins, maintain product quality, and ensure deliveries arrive on schedule.
- Introduce supply chain tools, process enhancements, and analytics to improve visibility and operating performance.
- Oversee capacity planning, material commitments, and production timelines with cross-functional partners.
- Travel internationally to factories and material partners as business needs require.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior supply chain leader with a strong background in sourcing, materials, and production, ideally in fashion accessories or footwear. They should be experienced in managing international vendor networks, developing supplier diversification strategies, and leading teams in fast-moving environments.
Success in this role also requires a strong interest in sustainability, circular systems, and new material innovation, along with excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills. The person in this role should be comfortable working across creative and technical teams and turning innovation into practical execution.
