Position Overview
The Senior Director of Project Management will lead budgeting, planning, and comprehensive oversight of projects from inception to completion within the creative team. This role requires managing multiple workflows simultaneously and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of creative and digital production processes, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience collaborating with account teams and clients to monitor project timelines, scope, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise project management across various creative portfolios and individual projects.
- Develop, maintain, and update budgets, schedules, resource plans, and vendor contracts for projects ranging from one-offs to client Statements of Work.
- Ensure timely progress by monitoring deadlines and proactively addressing potential delays.
- Partner with finance to track budgets, report regularly, meet financial targets, and adjust project scopes accordingly.
- Collaborate with project management leads to implement and standardize budgeting and tracking processes.
- Support production teams and vendors in budget planning for photo and video shoots.
- Serve as a central point of contact to maintain alignment across teams working on the same projects.
- Work closely with creative, account teams, and clients to develop detailed project briefs and clarify requirements.
- Assign projects considering team members' strengths and skills while coordinating resource allocation with lead project managers.
- Manage client feedback, delegate tasks, and drive progress on next steps.
- Provide regular updates to teams, clients, and leadership.
- Organize and lead meetings with stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Handle ad hoc project requests and feedback while balancing daily deadlines.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level team members.
- Contribute to training, staffing, and process improvements for current and future initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, advertising, marketing, design, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience, ideally within small to mid-sized creative agencies.
- Proficient with Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Familiarity with project management and financial reporting tools; experience with AI platforms is a plus.
- Experience working with creative teams across production, influencer marketing, social, paid media, and digital marketing.
- PMP or similar certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Design experience is a helpful asset but not required.

Salary and Location
The salary range for this position is $111,000 to $129,000 annually, with offers commonly falling between the minimum and midpoint based on qualifications, equity, and budget. The role can be remote or based in the New York City office, with a hybrid work policy requiring NYC-area employees to attend in-office or client locations approximately two days per week. Remote employees must reside in specific states listed by the company and participate occasionally in in-person meetings and events.
