Overview
A well-established pharmaceutical company in Los Angeles focusing on innovative longevity research is seeking a strategic and hands-on HR leader to oversee organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent acquisition, and people operations. This pivotal role collaborates with senior leadership to provide insightful guidance on complex personnel matters and personally executes process design and problem resolution to drive success.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted consultant to executives regarding organizational structure, workforce demands, performance, and leadership development.
- Lead workforce planning initiatives, organizational design, capability evaluations, and resource distribution.
- Build and manage a robust talent acquisition function targeting all levels and specializations.
- Create standardized job frameworks, leveling systems, competencies, and clear role definitions.
- Develop and implement pragmatic performance and talent management processes that promote accountability and growth.
- Support managers in addressing performance challenges, employee relations, investigations, and workplace disputes.
- Enhance leadership skills through coaching, facilitation, and customized development tools.
- Manage HR policies, ensure compliance, maintain thorough documentation, and prepare for audits.
- Refine onboarding procedures, boost communication, encourage engagement, and improve the employee experience.
Qualifications
- Over 12 years of progressive experience in human resources encompassing HR business partnering, organizational development, talent acquisition, talent management, operations, and employee relations.
- Demonstrated success advising senior executives and leading organizational design or workforce planning efforts.
- Extensive experience recruiting senior-level, specialized, and challenging-to-fill roles.
- Knowledgeable in compensation structures, performance management systems, employment law, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in dynamic, fast-changing, or regulated environments; exposure to public companies or life sciences sectors is advantageous.
- Capacity to exercise VP-level judgment while maintaining a hands-on approach to execution.
- Strong capabilities in coaching, managing conflict, guiding change, and applying data-driven decision-making.

Additional Information
