Role Overview
The Senior Director of Operations is a critical national leadership role focused on operational excellence, ensuring service quality, and scalable growth across multiple states. This executive-level position oversees complex multi-state operations within the fiscal intermediary and self-direction programs, leading regional Directors and senior operational management. Collaboration with executive leadership and cross-functional teams is essential to standardize processes, maintain regulatory compliance, enhance performance, and support long-term expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior leadership for operations spanning various states and regions.
- Guarantee consistent, high-quality service delivery tailored to state-specific program requirements and regulations.
- Develop and implement standardized operational frameworks, workflows, and best practices at scale.
- Monitor regional performance, leading corrective measures and continuous process improvements.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex or high-risk operational issues.
- Drive strategic initiatives aligned with organizational objectives and participate in national growth strategies, including new market entries and program launches.
- Identify innovative and efficient approaches to scale operations effectively.
- Establish and review KPIs, dashboards, and metrics to influence outcome-driven decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Directors of Operations and other senior leaders, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Support talent retention, performance management, succession planning, and organizational design efforts.
- Build and maintain relationships with state program leaders, community partners, and contracted agencies, representing GT Independence at a senior level.
- Collaborate with Compliance, HR, Finance, IT, and Quality departments to advance operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and program-specific regulations, partnering with compliance and quality teams to manage risk and audit preparedness.
- Lead national initiatives to enhance customer experience, workforce management, payroll processes, and service delivery.
- Promote a participant-centered care culture rooted in quality and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Human Services, or related discipline is required.
- Master’s degree or equivalent senior leadership experience in healthcare or human services operations is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, including senior or executive roles.
- Extensive experience in home care, home health, personal care, fiscal intermediary services, staffing, or similar high-volume and regulated sectors.
- Proven track record leading multi-state or national operations and building effective leadership teams.
- Strong knowledge of workforce management, operational optimization, compliance, and service delivery.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, communication skills, and executive presence.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and modern reporting and operational tools.
Work Environment & Travel
This is a fully remote national role that requires occasional travel for business purposes such as visiting state operations, partners, and meetings.
