Senior Director of Operations

Role Overview

The Senior Director of Operations position is a full-time remote leadership role focused on managing comprehensive operational effectiveness throughout the company. The incumbent will oversee supply chain management, order processing, and logistics to ensure prompt delivery and maintain high service standards for private, government, and global clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct planning and execution across supply chain, order fulfillment, and logistics functions.
• Manage budgets and optimize allocation of resources to meet operational targets.
• Create and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to track efficiency, costs, and quality measures.
• Lead and develop operations teams while fostering close cooperation with sales, customer service, and supplier partners.
• Maintain compliance and ensure availability of products through strong vendor relationships.
• Initiate and drive continuous improvement and best practice implementation aligned with strategic goals using data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations management with focus on process optimization, supply chain coordination, and logistics/order fulfillment.
• Excellent analytical skills capable of developing and interpreting performance metrics and supporting quantitative decision making.
• Effective leadership experience managing distributed teams with emphasis on coaching and promoting a collaborative, results-driven environment.
• Strong budgeting and cost management skills aligned with organizational financial objectives.
• Customer service expertise emphasizing quality, responsiveness, and alignment with private and government sector requirements.
• Experience in industrial supply, distribution, or similar industries, including supplier partnerships and contract compliance.
• Superior communication and stakeholder management abilities to engage cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Preferred education includes bachelor's degree in business, operations, supply chain, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications such as PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma are advantageous.
• Proficiency with remote collaboration tools, digital platforms, and documentation systems is essential.
