Key Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for facility performance, ensuring seamless operation across all departments.
• Prepare the facility’s infrastructure, staffing, and capacity to accommodate future growth.
• Supervise vendors and contractors involved in facility setups.
• Lead an extensive workforce of over 200 associates scheduled across four shifts in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Collaborate with top leadership to craft and implement operational strategies, capacity planning, and expansion projects.
• Influence and guide multiple management levels to enhance consistency, accountability, and operational results.
• Define, track, and analyze critical KPIs such as throughput, labor efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
• Oversee financial aspects including profit and loss, driving continuous improvements.
• Identify and resolve systemic operational bottlenecks through cross-functional initiatives.
• Ensure the facility remains prepared to support organizational growth with adequate infrastructure and systems.
• Instill a culture focused on Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
• Partner with HR and operational leaders on workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
• Champion compliance with safety standards and quality assurance across all operational units.
• Promote strong cross-departmental communication and collaboration to optimize facility performance.
• Act as a senior escalation resource for complex operational challenges requiring strategic problem-solving.

Candidate Qualifications

• Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or operational roles within sizable or complex facilities.
• Demonstrated capability in senior leadership roles, effectively influencing directors and cross-departmental leaders.
• Strong knowledge of facility operations, manufacturing workflows, and production systems.
• Proven track record of scaling operations and improving capacity with measurable performance gains.
• Expertise in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent strategic thinking, organizational, and problem resolution skills with a balance of high-level planning and ground-level execution.
• Outstanding communication skills with a commanding leadership presence.
• Experience in workforce planning, organizational design, and building leadership pipelines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or similar software tools.

Preferred Experience

• Background in sheet metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing sectors.
• Experience managing operations across multiple shifts.
• Familiarity with structured problem-solving techniques.
• Budget management and resource planning expertise.
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, or related discipline.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Capable of moving within office and manufacturing settings for extended timeframes.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs during shop floor walkthroughs.
• Visual inspection abilities to assess equipment, materials, and processes for safety and quality.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable working amid noise, moving equipment, temperature changes, and industrial hazards following safety procedures.
• Regular presence on shop floor with mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
