Role Overview

The Senior Director of Operations is a fully remote, full-time leadership position responsible for managing and refining everyday operational functions across the organization. This role plays a key part in strategic operations planning, process creation for scalability, and ensuring cohesive collaboration among teams, partners, and stakeholders within the Fintech space.

Key Duties

Lead and supervise cross-functional teams, ensuring productive cooperation and talent development.
Develop, oversee and analyze budgets to support resource allocation and control costs effectively.
Design and implement performance benchmarks to continually assess efficiency and quality of services provided.
Collaborate closely with executive leadership to align operational goals with overarching organizational priorities.
Enhance internal workflows to support partner and client initiatives and maintain excellent service standards.
Oversee risk management and promote continuous improvement across operational processes.

Qualifications and Skills

Extensive experience in operations management including designing, optimizing, and deploying processes across diverse functions.
Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex data sets, generate insightful reports and guide strategic decisions.
Proven leadership skills in managing remote and distributed teams effectively while fostering a culture of collaboration.
Competent in financial planning and budgeting within dynamic, growth-oriented environments.
Focused on customer satisfaction through development of support processes meeting high standards.
Experience or strong knowledge about the Fintech sector, particularly within African financial markets, is preferred.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities tailored to remote and multicultural teams.
Educational background with at least a bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Finance or related fields; an advanced degree or equivalent experience is advantageous.
Proven capability to independently prioritize and execute multiple strategic projects successfully.
