Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Director to spearhead the North American sales operations for a global leader in industrial equipment manufacturing. This role demands a strategic and execution-driven commercial leader focused on profitable growth across distribution, retail, and e-commerce channels throughout the Americas. The ideal candidate embodies a proactive "hunter" mentality within customer-centric, fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement sales strategies aligned with divisional growth objectives across the Americas.
- Collaborate with marketing to leverage segmented vertical opportunities for expanded customer share and wallet penetration.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with strategic accounts to ensure high satisfaction and retention.
- Incorporate regional customer insights into sales planning to optimize market coverage.
- Establish core sales competencies with associated performance standards to promote uniformity and excellence across teams.
- Develop KPI frameworks to track effectiveness, enhance accountability, and inform strategic decision making.
- Ensure team goal alignment with broader divisional and enterprise strategies.
- Create scalable sales structures to support entry into new markets and verticals.
- Drive modernization of sales processes via automation, CRM, and analytical tools.
- Utilize data analytics for forecasting trends and guiding resource allocation.
- Integrate customer feedback into sales cycles to influence product development and marketing efforts.
- Equip sales teams with necessary tools and training to leverage customer insights effectively.
- Lead, mentor, and develop sales leaders fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and innovation.
- Manage talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development for a prepared, resilient organization.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field; MBA or advanced degree highly preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years progressive leadership experience in global sales, with proven results in B2B2C environments.
- Strong expertise in distribution, retail, and e-commerce sales models with a history of scaling global operations.
- Proven record in developing and leading high-performing sales teams guided by competency frameworks and KPIs.
- Strategic mindset with advanced analytical skills and decisive action orientation.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proficient in CRM software, sales enablement solutions, and performance analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of time.

Work Location & Travel
This is a primarily remote position; however, monthly presence at the company headquarters in Rogers, Minnesota (Greater Minneapolis area) is required.
