Senior Director, Lean Transformation & Operational Excellence

About the Role

We are partnering with a leading global medical device company experiencing rapid growth, seeking an accomplished Senior Director to spearhead Lean transformation and operational excellence across worldwide Operations and Quality functions. This role goes beyond conventional Lean leadership, requiring a transformational operator to drive enterprise-wide change, boost manufacturing execution, expedite product launches, and cultivate a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide Lean transformation initiatives spanning global Operations and Quality.
• Develop and implement manufacturing excellence strategies across multiple production facilities.
• Oversee daily management systems and ensure robust operational governance.
• Drive Kaizen event deployment and ongoing operational improvement initiatives.
• Manage executive-level change management and organizational transformation processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and R&D teams.
• Mentor and develop future Lean leaders to enhance continuous improvement capabilities.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience leading large-scale manufacturing or business transformations.
• Track record of improving productivity metrics such as throughput, OEE, capacity utilization, and overall operational performance.
• Established expertise in creating enterprise-wide operating systems across multiple global sites.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and champion organizational change.
• Quantifiable success in delivering tangible business results beyond typical Lean initiatives.
• Background in medical devices, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System, Operational Excellence, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience supporting new product introductions and manufacturing commercialization, aligning with a strong R&D portfolio.
