About the Role

AHF Products is seeking a Senior Director to spearhead a comprehensive, multi-year transformation of supply chain planning within an intricate network that includes numerous manufacturing plants and distribution centers. This leadership position encompasses responsibility for both supply and demand planning, targeting enterprise-wide progress in planning methodologies, inventory management, service quality, production coordination, and holistic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Steer the entire supply chain planning transformation across approximately twelve production and distribution sites.
  • Create and implement strategic plans to elevate performance through improved processes, enhanced tools, governance, analytics, and strengthened organizational skills.
  • Pinpoint and prioritize improvements in demand and supply planning, inventory control, S&OP/IBP processes, allocation under constraints, scenario planning, and network coordination.
  • Standardize planning procedures while accommodating diverse product categories like wood, vinyl, and porcelain with practical adaptability.
  • Promote localized decision-making within a framework of standardized processes, governance, and consistent global planning templates to ensure scalability and enterprise-wide visibility.
  • Collaborate with executive teams to align supply chain initiatives with business growth, customer service standards, and financial objectives.
  • Oversee design, governance, and outcomes of demand and supply planning procedures, enhancing forecast precision and demand signal quality by leveraging analytics and cross-team collaboration.
  • Manage supply planning balancing customer needs, production limits, inventory condition, logistics, and capital efficiency.
  • Build planning frameworks capable of handling variable lead times, diverse manufacturing flows, seasonal demands, and complex products.
  • Define clear metrics, roles, and decision authorities spanning sales, operations, procurement, and distribution functions.
  • Advocate use of data analytics and digital technology to enhance planning decisions and operational results.
  • Translate complex datasets into business intelligence to boost forecasting accuracy, inventory productivity, production capacity utilization, and timely deliveries.
  • Engage with IT, finance, operations, and commercial teams to elevate data integrity, reporting, and supply chain transparency.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and management routines focused on service levels, inventory, forecast bias and error, adherence to schedules, capacity use, and OTIF measures.
  • Utilize scenario-based analysis and decision-support systems to better respond to demand shifts, supply disruptions, and network limitations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among commercial, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, customer service, finance, and IT teams.
  • Work closely with plant leadership to ensure planning output is feasible and matched to manufacturing capabilities.
  • Strengthen integration between sales, demand planning, production scheduling, and distribution operations.
  • Coordinate with product management to evaluate product lifecycle, support SKU rationalization decisions, and remove underperforming items.
  • Align supply chain activities across various planning models including make-to-stock, make-to-order, and hybrid approaches.
  • Influence all organizational levels to adopt innovative practices and maintain process rigor.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives, building a capable planning and transformation team focused on continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a hands-on leader balancing team development with direct involvement in data analysis, process optimization, issue resolution, and execution.
  • Promote a workplace culture emphasizing transparency, accountability, collaboration, and ongoing learning.
  • Implement training programs, governance structures, and procedures that integrate new tools and workflows into daily operations.
  • Act as a driver for change, challenging existing norms while gaining buy-in through constructive engagement.
  • Travel as required up to 10-15% to support organizational needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Analytics, or related discipline; advanced degrees such as an MBA are preferred.
  • At least 12 years of progressive leadership in supply chain roles, with proven experience in transformation initiatives and planning functions.
  • Background in complex multi-site manufacturing and distribution settings with diverse product portfolios and operational challenges.
  • History of successful data-driven supply chain improvements elevating accuracy, inventory efficiency, service quality, and planning effectiveness.
  • Expertise in S&OP/IBP, demand and supply planning, inventory optimization, and cross-functional supply chain models.
  • Experience leading organizational change, influencing senior stakeholders, and fostering adoption across functions.
  • Proficiency with ERP, advanced planning systems, business intelligence tools, and analytics-based decision-making.
  • Ability to pass background checks, employment verification, and drug screening.
  • Demonstrated positive and verifiable employment history.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with industries such as flooring, building materials, consumer durables, or industrial manufacturing with similarly complex supply chains.
  • Knowledge of supply chain dynamics involving materials such as wood, vinyl, and porcelain with multi-material and varied manufacturing processes.
  • Experience managing capacity constraints, variable lead times, and extensive SKU assortments within manufacturing and distribution frameworks.
  • Background in network planning, replenishment strategies, and planning system implementations or enhancements.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Routine walking and sitting, with occasional activities such as stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and grasping.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Capable of making decisions, developing options, collaborating with teams, maintaining attendance, paying attention to detail, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment with urgency.
