Role Overview

We are expanding our team with a Senior Delivery Manager to join us on a permanent basis, working from our Central Leeds or London HQ in a hybrid capacity. You will be integral to our consultancy operations, guiding delivery teams and applying various methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall tailored to client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive ownership of multiple complex projects, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed timelines, budgets, quality standards, and scope.
• Consistently embed Agile principles in delivery practices, coaching teams to elevate their capabilities.
• Apply flexible delivery approaches where Agile methods are unsuitable to meet client needs effectively.
• Identify, evaluate, and reduce risks in complex delivery contexts, exercising sound judgment on escalation timing and managing escalations through resolution.
• Map and oversee dependencies among teams, workstreams, and external factors within highly intricate environments.
• Create and update strategic roadmaps balancing ambitious goals with practical feasibility across various large-scale initiatives.
• Prioritize skill development and enable teams to concentrate on delivering maximum value in dynamic, uncertain, and fast-moving scenarios.
• Forge and maintain trustworthy relationships, managing expectations of diverse and senior stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Utilize workflow management tools like Jira and adapt quickly to other delivery or service management platforms such as ServiceNow and Azure DevOps; generate detailed reports and insights to support governance and transparency.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically, engaging audiences ranging from technical personnel to executive leadership with influence and clarity.
• Navigate and resolve complex conflicts constructively to preserve alignment and momentum.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities efficiently while ensuring quality and cross-team coordination.
• Provide supportive and motivating leadership that cultivates team cohesion, resilience, and high performance even under prolonged pressure.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years consulting experience.
• At least 1 year in a senior delivery management role.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale transformation initiatives or delivery projects.
• Proficiency with Atlassian tools including Jira.

Preferred Experience

• Leadership experience in both Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks.
• Background in healthcare, financial services, or retail sectors.
• Experience across public and private sectors.
• Previous roles within digital, technology, or consultancy organizations.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow and Azure DevOps tools.
