Founded in 2018 with dual headquarters in Dublin and Boston, Tines is a provider of an intelligent workflow platform that empowers critical business processes by combining AI, automation, and human creativity. Role Overview

The Senior Deal Desk Analyst acts as a key strategic collaborator for the Sales team, overseeing intricate enterprise and strategic transactions from the initial quoting stage through to closing. This position requires working closely with Revenue Operations, Finance, Legal, and Sales Leadership to structure deals, address commercial complexities, and expedite opportunities efficiently while ensuring adherence to company policies. The role also involves identifying inconsistencies, proposing system improvements, and managing assigned projects.

With minimal supervision, the Senior Deal Desk Analyst structures sophisticated deals, guides Sales, CSMS, and RMs through the approval process, and partners with leadership on high-value strategic opportunities. The job demands meticulous attention to detail, strong numerical skills, organized approaches, and outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with diverse teams and senior stakeholders. Candidates enthusiastic about startup dynamics and building foundational processes will thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage quotes, order forms, and amendments accurately within CPQ, including complex and non-standard transactions, ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
  • Facilitate deal approvals by navigating the approval matrix, monitoring status, and involving appropriate approvers to minimize cycle durations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Sales team on pricing, packaging, and process queries, engaging in calls to provide deal structure recommendations and best practice guidance.
  • Strategically assess each deal to balance speed with sound commercial judgment and procedural compliance.
  • Maintain high standards for data integrity, ensuring accurate opportunity and quote records in Salesforce.
  • Support order processing and effectively prioritize activities during peak volume periods, with flexibility at month and quarter ends.
  • Independently manage deals while recognizing complex situations early and escalating to leadership as necessary.
  • Identify discrepancies and opportunities for system and process enhancements and advocate for continuous improvements.
  • Lead specific projects related to deal desk operations as assigned.
  • Collaborate extensively with Legal, Finance, and Sales teams to facilitate and execute both standard and unique deal structures.
  • Help maintain and enhance CPQ tools such as DealHub and related workflows.
  • Review deal structures, pricing, discounting, and commercial terms to ensure alignment with company policies and organizational objectives.
  • Advise Account Executives on innovative deal structures that align customer requirements with company goals.
  • Work alongside Revenue Operations, Finance, Legal, and Sales Leadership to resolve commercial challenges and drive deal closure.
  • Manage commercial approval workflows ensuring timely responses during active sales cycles.
  • Identify potential risks in proposed deals and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze trends in deals, pricing behaviors, and approval metrics to discover operational enhancement opportunities.
  • Assist in designing, documenting, and implementing scalable commercial policies and approval processes.
  • Mentor junior Deal Desk team members and act as a subject matter expert on commercial processes.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, system upgrades, and automation projects across the quote-to-cash lifecycle.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in deal desk functions, deal strategy, or pricing within B2B SaaS environments.
  • Proven ability to structure complex and non-standard deals; experience with consumption or usage-based deal models is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with CPQ platforms such as Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, DealHub, or related tools and thorough understanding of quote-to-cash processes.
  • Strong commercial insight and financial literacy with capability to assess margins, revenue recognition, and risk factors.
  • Exceptional stakeholder service orientation and clear, structured communication skills to influence various teams and senior leaders.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership.
  • Highly detail-focused, well-organized, and responsive, particularly comfortable managing high volume transactions and period-end pressures.
  • Good judgment in deciding when to act autonomously and when to escalate issues.
  • Ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity in a fast-growing, dynamic startup setting.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel or Google Sheets are required.
  • Order management background is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting commercial organizations on a global scale.
  • Familiarity with SaaS pricing models based on consumption or usage.
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition in SaaS contracts.
  • Experience implementing or refining quote-to-cash systems and commercial processes.
  • Competency in using automation to enhance operational workflows.

Location and Work Arrangement

Fully remote work from anywhere in Ireland is supported. Employees may also choose to work from the Tines Dublin office to collaborate with the engineering team as desired.
