Job Overview
This contract role is for a senior-level data analyst with a strong background in financial data. The position is based onsite in McLean, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
- Run discovery sessions with internal stakeholders to understand and capture their data requirements.
- Translate business needs into documented specifications that can guide data engineering work.
- Carry out metadata registration and contribute to data governance efforts.
- Set up and verify data quality rules to help maintain accurate and reliable data.
- Support testing and validation of ETL pipelines across several business areas.
- Work closely with legacy Capital One business groups, data engineers, and DFS teams to keep communication aligned.
- Use Python and SQL as core tools in day-to-day analyst work.
- Create dashboards and reports that help teams make informed business decisions.
