Role Overview

The Senior Copywriter is essential in content creation, working alongside internal teams and clients to produce innovative healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing materials targeted at healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and internal audiences. This position requires in-depth knowledge of therapeutic areas, product knowledge, and a commitment to medical precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transform complex scientific data into compelling, clear copy for diverse audiences, including HCPs, patients, caregivers, and internal clients such as sales teams.
  • Create original content across various platforms, including digital and print (brochures, emails, social media, banner ads, videos, websites, and visual aids).
  • Collaborate closely with Creative leads to shape creative direction and refine graphical elements and layouts.
  • Engage with clients to comprehend brand identities, core messaging, and creative goals, exploring innovative ideas that align with marketing strategies.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of therapeutic areas, target demographics, and strategic objectives for multiple products.
  • Ensure high-quality, accurate deliverables with meticulous referencing and adherence to medical standards.
  • Incorporate client and internal feedback while preserving the integrity and intent of the content.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of style guides and core claims documentation.
  • Present rationale behind work in internal and client meetings.
  • Coordinate with project management to establish practical timelines for deliverable completion.
  • Follow established procedures regarding workflow, development, and compliance with industry best practices.
  • Proactively support initiatives for current and prospective clients.
  • Attend client and partner meetings, including promotional review panels, to aid content and creative development.

  • Work with both internal and external teams to ensure quality outcomes within deadlines.
  • Contribute positively to team efforts in alignment with company objectives and core values.
  • Communicate professionally in both writing and verbal formats with colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of pharmaceutical agency copywriting experience.
  • Experience writing for both healthcare professional and consumer audiences.
  • Firm grasp of marketing and advertising fundamentals.

Preferred

  • Documented experience handling varied accounts and therapeutic areas.

Working Conditions

  • In-person collaboration prioritized at crucial junctures; occasional travel may be necessary to support client or team goals.
  • Offers autonomy and flexibility with sporadic intensive periods aligned with product launches or major deliverables.
