Role Overview

As the Senior Controller for Corporate FP&A & Business Partnering, you will be a key financial advisor to AVIV’s global leadership team. This pivotal role sits at the nexus of corporate finance, data engineering, and strategic management. You will lead the transformation of the company’s financial reporting architecture, owning the entire monthly management reporting cycle to ensure impeccable reporting for executives and board members. This role demands superior financial modeling, advanced data automation, and analytics skills, combined with strategic foresight and cross-functional collaboration within a rapid-paced international tech environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership and continuously enhance the monthly management reporting cycle, ensuring precise delivery to senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver sophisticated, automated monthly performance summaries and strategic financial presentations designed for top management and C-suite decision makers.
  • Implement automated quality assurance procedures, including advanced validation rules and data reconciliation methods to guarantee complete data accuracy and eliminate manual errors.
  • Collaborate extensively with data analytics, BI, and engineering teams to migrate from manual spreadsheet processing to scalable automated data pipelines using enterprise tools like Workday and Tagetik.
  • Serve as a dedicated finance business partner to global leadership, facilitating high-quality financial decisions across international teams.
  • Critically assess strategic plans, complex global business cases, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives with AVIV’s overall financial strategies.
  • Promote a proactive, partnership-oriented finance culture across departments to support revenue growth and profitability worldwide.
  • Lead and refine corporate FP&A processes, including annual planning, budgeting, scenario modeling, and sophisticated rolling forecasts focused on strategic objectives.
  • Oversee performance monitoring coordination across multiple countries to maintain full alignment within the corporate FP&A framework.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in finance, business, economics, data analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Multiple years of advancing experience in FP&A, corporate controlling, or financial business partnering at a fast-scaling digital marketplace, classifieds, or global technology organization.
  • Proven success designing and managing automated end-to-end management reporting processes with a focus on data automation and scalable structures.
  • Expertise in advanced financial modeling and forecasting, with strong hands-on knowledge of modern ERP/EPM systems such as Workday and Tagetik. Familiarity with SQL, Alteryx, Power BI or similar data automation tools, as well as Google Sheets and Docs, is advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and strong aptitude for developing robust data validation frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships within an international environment.
  • Fluent English language skills are required; proficiency in German is a significant asset.
  • Ability to work onsite at least three days weekly at the Berlin headquarters with a hybrid work schedule.

Additional Information

  • Work-life balance supported through 30 days vacation, flexible working hours, mobile work options, and sabbatical opportunities.
  • Employee benefits include public transportation subsidies, JobRad leasing options, and fully stocked offices with snacks, fruit, and beverages.
  • Access to customized personal and professional development programs aligned with career goals.
  • Competitive remuneration packages with employer-funded pension plans and capital-building contributions.
  • Health and wellness programs offered through partnerships with Urban Sports Club and Kyan Health.
  • Join a diverse, international team fostering a culture of ownership, meaningful impact, and regular team events.
  • AVIV Group is an equal opportunity employer welcoming applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including people with disabilities, minority groups, LGBTQIA+, parents, and carers. Reasonable workplace accommodations and flexible arrangements are available.
