Senior Consultant / Lead - PTC Windchill Developer (AI/ML Integration)

Role Overview

We are hiring an experienced PTC Windchill professional to build and improve enterprise document management solutions. The position calls for 5 to 10 years of practical Windchill development experience and includes both core platform customization and newer AI/ML-based capabilities.

The work will involve enhancing Digital Document Management platforms, delivering advanced Windchill customizations, and implementing intelligent features such as metadata extraction, document summarization, and search assistance. The role also requires end-to-end ownership of deliverables, close coordination with product architects, and active participation in production support and incident handling with a strong focus on SLA compliance.

Windchill Development and Customization

• Build, extend, and refine Windchill features using standard extension frameworks, custom services, workflows, UI components, and complex system integrations.
• Work with the Windchill data model and REST APIs to deliver scalable technical solutions.
• Apply Java, JSP, JCA, Info*Engine, and workflow-based customization techniques as part of day-to-day development.

AI/ML Feature Work

• Develop and maintain AI-enabled capabilities for automated metadata extraction from documents.
• Create solutions for text summarization and context-aware user assistance or search support.
• Contribute to document processing and NLP-oriented features within the product ecosystem.

Architecture, Delivery, and Support

• Partner with product architects to translate complex business needs into robust, maintainable technical designs.
• Take ownership of deliverables from development through release.
• Manage production incidents, investigate issues through root-cause analysis, and resolve user tickets efficiently.
• Improve support operations through automation and monitoring practices while maintaining strict SLA targets.

Governance and DevOps

• Follow enterprise coding standards and participate in rigorous pull request reviews.
• Use Git and Azure DevOps for source control and deployment workflows.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and create deployment-ready artifacts for releases.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a self-driven Windchill developer with strong Java/J2EE skills, solid customization experience, and working exposure to AI/ML use cases. You should be comfortable working independently, communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and taking full accountability for assigned work.
