Senior Commercial Officer

Role Summary

This position sits within the commercial function and supports trade operations across modern trade, e-commerce, and B2B channels. The role is based in Mumbai and involves close coordination with internal teams, external partners, and customer chains to keep commercial processes accurate, compliant, and timely.

Experience and Background

The role calls for a professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in trade commercial operations, particularly across modern trade, e-commerce, or B2B environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties to drive issue closure and keep commercial workflows moving.
• Review and process claims submitted by chains after validating them against business guidelines.
• Handle GST reconciliation and ensure records remain accurate.
• Maintain appropriate month-end provisioning and support compliance with delegation-of-authority requirements.
• Carry out quarterly reconciliations with customers.
• Monitor and manage outstanding dues with chains while staying aligned to approved credit limits.
• Keep documentation current and complete with the outsourcing partner.

Skills and Competencies

The role requires strong communication, effective planning and execution, sound accounting knowledge, familiarity with SAP, and prior exposure to modern trade or e-commerce channel operations.

This position reports to the Manager, Commercial.
