About the Role
Walker Hamill is partnering with a leading renewable energy group based in Dublin, currently expanding its presence in the Irish market. We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Finance Manager to take on a key position that spans finance, trading, regulatory matters, business development, and operations.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Commercial Finance, this prominent role entails leading strategic projects, delivering commercial insights to inform decision-making, and fostering long-term value across a varied and growing portfolio of assets. The successful candidate will drive commercial strategy, optimize financial performance, manage commercial risks, and facilitate advantageous outcomes amid regulatory changes.
Other key duties include participating in business planning and forecasting efforts, conducting thorough economic analysis to support operational and investment decisions, evaluating new ventures, assisting with capital investment evaluations, shaping hedging and commodity strategies, and preparing comprehensive market and performance reports.
Requirements
The ideal applicant will be a qualified accountant with a solid academic foundation and proven experience in commercial finance, investment evaluation, contract negotiation, and strategic assessment in complex business contexts. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills are vital for collaborating effectively with teams in trading, operations, and development to synchronize commercial goals with overall business strategy.
Experience juggling multiple priorities, aiding commercial negotiations, participating in due diligence, or managing contractual disputes and litigation offers a distinct advantage. Although familiarity with energy markets or trading is helpful, it is not mandatory.
