The service is seeking to enhance its international presence by building a wider network of merchants and providing greater convenience to users globally. With a user base exceeding 1.3 billion worldwide, WeChat is transforming mobile experiences by linking people, services, and businesses, facilitating smooth everyday and major transactions within its ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the promotion and rollout of WeChat Payment services to both new and existing international merchants, focusing on market expansion.
• Lead coordination between internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth integration and deployment of payment solutions.
• Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders such as institutional service providers, regulators, and financial institutions to support sustainable growth and market penetration.
• Identify and pursue innovative business opportunities and strategic alliances to strengthen WeChat Payment’s competitive edge in overseas markets.
• Develop industry-specific solutions, set performance standards, and implement best practices to boost WeChat Payment’s market presence and brand awareness abroad.
• Analyze market dynamics, competitor actions, and customer insights to continuously improve business development strategies and maximize growth.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or higher with at least three years of verifiable business development experience, preferably within payments or fintech sectors.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven record of securing high-value deals and managing crucial client relationships.
• Experience handling cross-border business growth initiatives and partnerships.
• Thorough understanding of the payments industry, local overseas market conditions, and cultural variations.
• Excellent insight into product operations with the capability to evaluate business models and implement effective strategies.
• Knowledge of WeChat Payment or similar mobile payment platforms is highly advantageous.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin to communicate efficiently with global stakeholders and collaborate across regions.
• Strong analytical capability and a results-oriented approach in a fast-moving environment.
