Job description
Role Overview
This role focuses on growing the Heinz business in Malaysia through commercial strategy, distributor collaboration, category development, and disciplined execution across sales, marketing, and supply chain processes. The position is based in Singapore, Singapore and works in an on-site setup.
What You'll Do
- Build sales and marketing growth plans aimed at significantly expanding the Heinz portfolio.
- Manage a portfolio spanning several tiers and categories to drive growth across different consumer segments.
- Partner with distributors on business planning, go-to-market strategy, in-store execution, and both below-the-line and above-the-line marketing activity.
- Review distributor sell-out performance to identify gaps, risks, and new growth opportunities.
- Develop and roll out consumer-insight-led category and country strategies to unlock growth in specific market and category combinations.
- Shape and adapt regional campaign concepts for local execution.
- Support supply chain tracking from ordering through to shipping, and improve escalation handling for issues such as delayed orders, delivery delays, shelf-life concerns, and customer complaints.
- Lead demand planning with distributors using sell-out analysis, campaign plans, sell-in forecasts, and shipment planning, and share inputs with regional demand planning teams to support stock availability from export affiliates.
- Build a motivating team culture based on open communication.
- Help team members strengthen confidence, product knowledge, and communication capability.
- Ensure Joint Value Planning with key retail customers is completed properly each year and followed through monthly with distributors.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a closely related discipline.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in sales or marketing within an FMCG retail environment.
- Strong ability to interpret and analyze sales data.
- Hands-on experience with trade marketing and consumer insights.
- Background in lift-and-launch, innovation, and product development.
- Proven capability in retail sales strategy and execution.
- Confidence in negotiating sales goals with distributors and/or customers.
- Strong root-cause analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort working in a matrix organization.
- A resilient, curious, and execution-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently, address shortfalls quickly, and act as a self-starter.
- A customer-focused approach.
