Role overview

This is a commercially oriented Senior Business Controller position within the Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The role works closely with the Sales function to turn financial data into practical insights, strengthen decision-making, and support profitable growth across grocery and on-premise channels. A major part of the job involves budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and pricing analysis, with a strong focus on financial control and transparent business performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with Sales teams to provide financial analysis and support commercial decisions.
  • Prepare recurring reporting and insights covering volume, revenue, and margin trends.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and broader planning activities.
  • Assess pricing, promotions, and customer results to improve profitability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to guide commercial choices and actions.
  • Assist with key account reviews and promotional planning.
  • Identify and implement improvements in finance processes and reporting.
  • Help strengthen financial capability across teams by making data easier to understand.

What you need

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field; CA qualification is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, business partnering, FP&A, or commercial finance.
  • Well-developed analytical ability with confidence in converting data into practical insights.
  • Solid knowledge of pricing, margin management, and commercial performance drivers.
  • Advanced Excel capability; exposure to SAP or Anaplan would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in FMCG is beneficial.
