Job description

Overview

DHL Express is driving a major global Customs Transformation initiative aimed at modernizing Customs Operations and improving quality across its worldwide network. This long-term program is designed to reshape people, processes, and technology through a substantial investment of more than €100 million. The broader effort is expanding Global Operations and IT teams significantly, with new and strengthened capabilities across program management, customs process design, business capability, business IT, and solution development.

This is a complex, multi-year change program with high visibility and meaningful impact. The work will involve collaboration across business and IT teams to improve operations, systems, and service outcomes for customers around the world.

Role summary

DHL Express is hiring 6 Senior Business Analysts in Singapore to support Global Network Operations Programs Group (GNOP). The role focuses on understanding business needs, defining suitable solutions, and evaluating how changes affect the current operating environment. The position also serves as a competency point for business analysis within the Global Network Operations area, helping teams apply best practices, tools, and internal standards.

What you will do

You will work across business and IT activities that support change initiatives from concept through deployment and post-launch support. The role includes product-focused analysis, process review, stakeholder coordination, testing, training preparation, and operational follow-through.

  • Act as a subject matter contributor for specific applications or products and help drive their enhancement.
  • Carry out regional and facility network operations reviews when needed to align operations, clarify requirements, and support beta rollout activities.
  • Lead business analysis, process review, and requirement definition work, including new processes, regulatory needs, productivity gains, cost reduction, innovation, and updated Global SOPs.
  • Coordinate user-group communication, change input, prioritization, and testing involvement.
  • Take part in the software development lifecycle from idea and business case through project brief, process design, requirements, testing, acceptance, training, and deployment readiness.
  • Prepare deployment materials, support pilot/beta activities, help regions and countries get ready for rollout, and assist SMEs during implementation.
  • Support post-implementation reviews, verify correct process and system usage, and contribute to corrective actions where required.
  • Assist with contingency operations and issue analysis for process and EGAP-related matters, using end-to-end knowledge to support corrective measures.
  • Work effectively in a customer-centered, multinational, and multicultural environment.

Key challenges

  • Develop a strong understanding of end-to-end operational processes, the relevant application/domain, Global SOP standards, and strategic priorities tied to each project scope.
  • Work successfully with virtual teams and multiple stakeholders across programs and projects.
  • Support deployment activities where required to ensure business benefits are realized.
  • Provide ongoing support to regional program leads.
  • Create user training materials and deliver training to regions and countries as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across global locations.
  • Contribute to deployments of EGAP solutions, where the global team owns the solution development phase.

Requirements

  • A business degree is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certification or hands-on experience in requirements analysis, requirement gathering, process definition, or similar work is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of overall experience, including 2 years or more in a business analyst role or equivalent.
  • Exposure to business process analysis and testing.
  • Experience developing processes and requirements.
  • Experience at country and regional level is required; global experience is an advantage.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Applicants should submit a CV and a copy of their highest educational qualification, such as a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or MBA certificate.
