Role overview
The Global Business Services Center Financial Systems team provides consulting-style support to the Shared Services organization and other internal business stakeholders. The group focuses on project coordination, application assistance, and end-user support, and values people with strong leadership, consulting, and project management capabilities.
This position is centered on supporting Oracle financial modules and related applications. A strong working understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite and connected systems is important for success in the role.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee enhancements, projects, system setup, strategy, and ongoing support for Oracle EB Tax, Vertex Tax Engine, Edicom E-Invoicing, Oracle HR, and related tools.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to explain application features, identify automation opportunities, and deliver user training when required.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams to troubleshoot, test, and resolve issues.
- Handle production support activities, including incident management, ticket creation, progress updates, and escalation when needed.
- Assess and recommend new products or functionality based on business needs.
- Keep configuration records and training materials current after system changes or new releases.
- Support testing for patches, upgrades, and system modifications in a timely manner.
- Develop clear business and technical requirements, along with analysis and documentation, for assigned initiatives.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite v12 core financial modules; Oracle Fusion exposure is a plus.
- Ability to build influence quickly with business partners and help drive organizational change.
- Prior experience with e-invoicing and tax engine solutions is preferred.
- Comfortable using MS Office applications.
- Familiarity with project management methods and tools; experience with Microsoft Project and Visio is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multinational environment.
- Good time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently on assigned projects.
