Role Overview

The Advisor & Consulting Services division at Mastercard focuses on attracting, engaging, and retaining customers through fraud management, cybersecurity enhancements, and an improved digital payment experience. This team merges traditional consulting practices with Mastercard's proprietary data, platforms, and technologies to deliver strategic recommendations supported by analytics. The Consulting group specializes in Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Specifically, Business Experimentation consultants support executives by applying Mastercard’s advanced predictive analytics SaaS platform, Test & Learn®, to assess business initiatives and guide deployment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Innovate and contribute creative solutions for varied industries and challenge areas.
• Develop strategies and programs for regional and global clients leveraging data science tools such as Test & Learn®.
• Work closely with Mastercard teams to comprehend client objectives, priorities, and associated risks.
• Establish and maintain trusted partnerships with client analysts and managers.
• Offer expert analytical and technical guidance to ensure client success through adoption of the Test & Learn® platform.
• Collaborate with senior consultants to interpret findings, prepare impactful presentations, and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Independently identify analytical issues within assigned domains using Test & Learn®, synthesize insights, and highlight important conclusions.
• Lead internal and client-focused meetings while supporting project management functions.
• Contribute to Mastercard’s intellectual assets and participate in knowledge sharing.
• Engage in mentorship programs led by consulting leaders to foster professional growth.

Candidate Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree combined with experience in consulting, technology, data science, or related data-driven roles.
• Proven teamwork capabilities and experience managing clients or internal stakeholders.
• Strong logical reasoning and a penchant for numerical data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at an advanced level.
• Ability to manage concurrent tasks across multiple clients in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings.
• Effective communication skills in English and any relevant local office language.
• Eligibility to work within the job's country location and ability to obtain necessary travel visas.

Preferred Experience

• Additional expertise in data analytics, including data modeling, database management (e.g., SQL), visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), or advanced analysis such as time series and segmentation.
• Experience coordinating workstreams or tasks collaboratively, potentially involving third parties.
• Demonstrated ability to identify problems, evaluate options, and implement optimal solutions.
• Relevant experience within key industry sectors.
