Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead and oversee IT business analysis within our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving projects from initial conception through to full delivery, ensuring thorough gathering, analysis, and formalization of business requirements. This role requires effective collaboration with both business stakeholders and IT developers, sometimes coordinating remotely. The analyst will assess implementation feasibility, manage project scope, timelines, and budgets, provide progress updates to stakeholders, and support issue resolution including escalation if necessary. Additionally, the role involves performing gap analysis to enhance system performance and contributing to Project Management Office (PMO) activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor IT Business Analysts within the team.
- Direct projects through all phases, from initial concept to realization.
- Collect, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for project specifications.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with both business users and IT development teams, including virtual collaboration.
- Assess project feasibility and maintain control over scope changes.
- Manage timelines, scope, and costs, setting priorities and delivering timely updates to stakeholders.
- Provide support for issue reports and service requests, performing escalations when necessary.
- Conduct gap analyses relative to benchmarks to identify and implement system improvements.
- Participate actively in PMO operations.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in fields such as Business IT, Computing Science, Engineering, or related areas.
- A minimum of three years of experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager.
- Domain expertise in Securities Trading, with preference for experience in either pre-trade (front-end or middle office) or post-trade (back office) processes.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycles and Agile methodologies is advantageous.
- A proactive, energetic individual with a strong initiative and a results-oriented approach.
- Advocate for servant leadership and team collaboration.
- Proficient English communication skills, including listening, writing, and speaking.
- Strong interpersonal skills capable of engaging diverse stakeholders such as technical IT developers and business users effectively.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as SQL, CSS, HTML is beneficial but not mandatory.
